A Nonexistent Exhibition is an editorial series launched by Studio Blanco in 2009 with the aim of creating catalogues for art exhibitions that never happened. In Recession/Recessione, the first chapter of the series, Studio Blanco asked 35 international artists to interpret the main theme through words, images, artworks and music.

Among the participants are Richard Kern, Ed Templeton, Mark Borthwick, Ari Marcopoulos, Henry Roy, Estelle Hanania, Rita Ackermann, Melanie Bonajo, Peter Broderick, Goldmund, Carlotta Manaigo, Aaron Rose, Henry Roy, Lina Scheynius, Alessandro Zuek Simonetti, Nicholas Haggard and Camille Vivier. The book was exhibited at Triennale museum in Milan during the Instant Design exhibition in February 2011.
